The three bedrooms are in a separate two-story complex at the end of the pool. Each is air-conditioned and features its own generous outdoor/indoor tropical style bathroom. Each have ample storage with spacious dressing rooms and total individual privacy.

The partially exposed PAVILION TORAJA, adding strong currents of style from Sulawesi. The first floor is wholly open, and the dramatic high ceiling is carried on the pillars of a traditional Javanese Jogglo. A cozy TV sitting area is nestle to one side, and the dining room table that seats 12 is situated as to overlook the lush tropical garden grounds and Indian Ocean.

The upstairs master bedroom smells of rich dark wood, setting a romantic feel to mesh perfectly with the gorgeous sea view. Sunsets can be enjoying by reclining in the fantastic king-sized Timor bed, over which hangs a rich hand-woven tapestry. An open terrace, ensuite bathroom, and separate study compose the additional living areas of this room. An intricately carved sofa bed is present to facilitate the conversion of the study into an additional sleeping area.

The partially exposed, fully equipped modern kitchen allows for flexibility in usage, whether guests would like to cook socially for themselves, or to be serving by the hidden hands of the talented staff. A guest bathroom sits off to one side for convenience. Divided from the living area by a water pond and stepping-stones is the first floor master bedroom. Sea View Cottage

PAVILION IRIAN, the guesthouse on the grounds, is set apart from the other units to offer a complete retreat to privacy. This round building, topped with a high alang-alang roof, houses one bedroom and its own private ensuite open-air bathroom. The queen-sized bed is cover with brilliant batik linens, adding a spice of color to the room. A large day bed is ideal for a mid-day siesta, or to put a child to rest. From the private terrace, you can overlook the flourishing rice fields and the blooming lotus garden set to the far corner of the grounds.

A separate structure, PAVILION LOMBOK one Bedroom, is modeled after a traditional Balinese rice barn. A brick-style kitchen with marble, terrazzo counters makes up the open first floor.The bathroom of this Pavilion is behind the kitchen. A high staircase leads to a private open terrace, and to the bedroom beyond, all of the furnishings of which are create from bamboo. Two single canopy beds push together to form a single king.A bamboo ladder leads to a secret doorway, opening up to a second private terrace, specifically for the purposes of sea-view meditation.

Location

“Villa Samudra Raya” is set in a quiet compound less than 300 meters from the main road in the center of Seminyak, the area between Legian/Seminyak and kerobokan. The international airport is about 15 minutes away. Many interesting shops are right on the main street near the villa; it’s about 1km to the beach, and a few minutes by car bring you to an increasing number of fashionable restaurants including Café Warisan, Ku de Ta, Hu’u, The Living Room, blossom , La Luciola, Trattoria, Mykonos, etc.

The Villa

Villa Samudra Raya is elegant in design centering around two large swimming pools with large open spaces surrounding by natural light, tropical gardens and stone fixtures giving the villa a feeling of absolute tranquility. There are four large bedrooms and one child’s rooms and spacious dining and living areas, perfect for entertaining.

The living space/dining room opens to a garden full of lush tropical plants and a 12 meters family swimming pool. The use of large bi fold doors give a feeling of spaciousness and a huge timber dinning table for 10 and day bed for six make this area unforgettable

The adjacent kitchen is fitted out with the latest electrical appliances, microwave, dishwasher, blender, steamer, toaster, etc. In the center of the kitchen there is a large island marble bench where your staff can prepare all the days’ meals and drinks for you whilst overlooking the pool and tropical garden

Encompassed by rice fields, and just a few metres from two charming little ‘warungs’ (local restaurants), the setting is quiet and tranquil, within a safe, upmarket neighbourhood that is home to some of the classiest properties on the island. The beach is renowned for its world-class surf breaks and panoramic coastline views.

The trendy Seminyak area, meanwhile, with its glamorous lifestyle and wide choice of internationally acclaimed restaurants – including the famous ‘KuDéTa’, ‘Warisan’, ‘Living Room’, ‘Hu’u’ and ‘La Lucciola’ – together with a plethora of chic cocktail bars, exciting nightclubs, sumptuous spas and fashionable boutiques, is only a few minutes’ drive away. This region is the most visited part of the island for both tourism and business purposes. The air-conditioned Master Bedroom is located downstairs and is dominated by a king size four-poster bed resting upon a parquet floor. A terrazzo staircase leads up to the air-conditioned Guest Bedroom, featuring a parquet floor and furnished with a queen size divan bed complete with a mosquito net. A wardrobe offers ample storage space, and a TV and DVD player is provided for the entertainment of the guests. Colourful antique window shutters are mounted on the wall to provide an unusual and attractive decorative feature. The guest house is a separate single-storey building comprised of two interconnecting air-conditioned guest bedrooms. Each bedroom is characterized by fresh white walls under a soaring thatched roof. Each is furnished with a king size, canopied, four-poster bed created from ornately carved antique wood, together with bedside cabinets, lamps, lazy chairs, table, and dressing area with fitted cupboards, safety deposit box, and full length mirror. Sliding doors open onto the pool deck. Each bedroom is complemented by its own private en-suite bathroom, and each bathroom boasts a stylish dark grey décor with a polished concrete vanity unit and mosaic tiles, ‘his & hers’ sunken washbasins, toilet, and powerful shower. Sliding doors from both bedrooms open onto the wide wrap around balcony, composed of richly grained, creamy ‘Batu Yogya’ stone. This cool breezy balcony is enhanced with two built-in daybeds, a set of antique Asian urns, and a statue of a Hindu goddess. This is a great spot for relaxing with an afternoon cocktail while enjoying the pleasant view over the garden and pool area
Terraces, Living, Dining, Office and Service Kitchen

The main 2-storey building houses three of the bedrooms and is characterised by a colonnaded wrap-around Terrace and a corresponding wide wrap-around balcony on the upper floor. The terrace is furnished with a large circular table and six chairs for alfresco dining under a funky metal chandelier. There is also a bar with a curved façade, and a cushioned rattan sofa and chairs together with a glass-topped rattan table

Indoors is a large Living, Dining & Office Area, with a cool terrazzo floor scattered with Oriental rugs. Here, guests can enjoy a more formal dining experience around a solid chunky dining table for ten. The office area is furnished with a daybed, shelf units and a desk, and is equipped with a computer, Internet access, a fax machine, and a central telephone system. A guest powder room is accessed from this area. The adjacent Service Kitchen is one of two kitchens at the villa. This one is set up so that the staff can serve food quickly and efficiently at dinner parties and functions, it is fully equipped and well-stocked with quality glassware, crockery and cutlery; a large refrigerator is hidden within a custom-designed cupboard

The open-plan TV Room boasts a satellite TV and DVD player, two substantially-sized yielding sofas, a large square coffee table, a lazy chair and a pair of carved side tables positioned upon a warm parquet floor under a soaring pitched roof. This cosy, relaxing area is tastefully enhanced with local artifacts and mirrors

The Main Kitchen is a chef’s dream in black, white and chrome. Immaculate and professionally equipped, it features black marble surfaces and white cabinets, with adjacent store rooms. There is a small garden and terrace at the back of the property beside the kitchen, which is home to a gorgeous statue of the Hindu god, ‘Ganesha’. The villa is also equipped with a generator
Garden, Swimming Pool, and Relaxation Pavilions

The villa is positioned around two sides of the large 17 x 6.5 metre lap pool, which is tiled with green Java stone and complemented by a serene Buddha statue and an outdoor rainshower. Privacy and security is maintained by an encompassing garden wall. At one end of the pool is a relaxation pavilion, known as a ‘bale bengong’. Furnished with cushions, it is great for chilling out with a book or taking an afternoon nap. A small, 2-storey, rectangular, wooden gazebo, charmingly fashioned in the form of a traditional rice barn – known as a ‘lumbung’ or ‘jineng’ – with a thatched, horseshoe-shaped roof, rests in another part of the garden. It features a lower platform and a staircase leading up to a private, upper room accessed by a Lombok door. This is a fun playhouse for children
